Skye was thunderstruck when told by her doctor that she'd never be able to carry a baby to term. Dr. Rachel Ryan told Cameron that Alexis hadn't shown up for her session, which was a direct violation of court orders. Cameron called Alexis' cell phone and relayed that information to her. Meanwhile, Alexis, disguised as "Dobson," told Ned that baby Kristina would really benefit if she got to see her mother more often.
Edward was up in arms when he overheard Ned leave a message for Alexis, saying he'd like it if Alexis saw Kristina more often than the court-appointed visits. Skye returned home from the doctor, and as Alexis/Dobson looked on, Skye soothed a restless Kristina. Alexis was also upset when she heard Skye tell Ned that she couldn't love Kristina more if she were her own child. After an emotional Alexis fled the Quartermaine mansion, she ran into an approaching Cameron.
Alan and Monica gave Emily the bad news: the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. As Monica was extolling the virtues of chemotherapy, Emily ran off, ending up near the docks, where she ran into Zander. She told Zander that she didn't want to make any long-term plans and only wanted to live for the day. After they kissed, Zander mentioned plans for their future, but Emily didn't want to hear about it and walked away.
Dillon gave Maxie a fake I.D. so she could go out on a date with Kyle at a club. When Georgie and Lucas found out, they were angry at Dillon. Georgie was crestfallen when Lucas apologized for kissing her and said he only thought of her as a friend. Maxie met Kyle at Carly's club, and after he went to get their drinks, Maxie had a run-in with Shannon, Kyle's sister, who called Maxie a tramp and told her to stay away from Kyle. Zach then approached a dejected-looking Maxie and gave her a pill, which he said would make her happy. Maxie took it.
Carly, Sonny, Courtney and Jason were all at the club, as well, celebrating Jason and Courtney's engagement. Sonny gave Jason and Courtney his blessings. Maxie overdosed at the club and went unconscious. After paramedics arrived, Sonny questioned Zach, who told him that Maxie had taken ecstacy, but Zach insisted he hadn't given the drug to Maxie. After Scott and the police arrived, Scott accused Sonny of dealing in drugs then ordered the club shut down until an investigation could take place.
Georgie, Lucas, and Dillon arrived as Maxie was taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Mac asked Georgie how long Maxie had been taking drugs, but Georgie told him she didn't know anything about it. Mac then comforted an awakened Maxie, who was upset and asked Mac not to contact her mother. He agreed -- for the moment. Outside Maxie's room, Mac saw Jason and slammed him against a wall, blaming him for Maxie's overdose.
As Liz was contemplating an abortion, Ric arrived, and thinking he already knew about her pregnancy, she slipped and told Ric about it. As Ric proclaimed his love for her, Faith was outside the hospital room, hearing everything. Liz rejected Ric, telling him he put on a good act when he wanted something. Ric told Liz that his vendetta against Sonny was over, and after telling her how much he wanted them to raise the baby together and become a real family, she softened a bit but told Ric that she didn't think he'd change.
After Ric left to tell Sonny about the vendetta being over, Liz told the nurse she'd changed her mind about the abortion. Faith caught up with Ric and told him that he'd never be satisfied with someone as boring or uninspiring as Liz, but Ric told her he loved Liz and that she was expecting their baby. He also warned Faith not to harm Liz in any way -- or else she was dead.
Walking past the docks, Liz was nearly pistol-whipped by Faith, who ducked away when she saw Emily approaching. Liz told Emily that she was pregnant and that even though Ric Lansing was a nightmare at times, she couldn't stop loving him. Back at Sonny and Carly's penthouse, Sonny told Carly that he suspected Ric of being behind the drug scare at the club. Just then, Ric arrived.
At the hospital, Jason told Mac that neither he nor Sonny had had anything to do with the ecstasy that Maxie had gotten hold of but promised Mac he intended to get to the bottom of it. Mac told Jason that he'd "look the other way" if Jason found out who had sold the drugs and dealt with them. When Courtney questioned Maxie in her room, Georgie tried to blame Kyle, but Maxie spoke up, saying it was Zach who had given her the ecstacy. Maxie told Courtney not to tell Mac or Jason. Courtney later gave Jason Zach's and Kyle's names then stayed and gave a pep talk to Maxie.
After Jason tracked down Kyle and Zach, he held a gun on them. Zach admitted giving Maxie the ecstacy, and when Jason pressed further, Zach told him the drugs had been bought off a guy named "Angry John." After Jason warned them about selling drugs on Sonny's turf, he told them to go then later found Zander and asked him to find out where "Angry John" received his drugs from. Zander agreed to look into it but made Jason promise to find out what was really going on with Emily.
Jason later told Courtney that he thought that the drug presence at the Cellar was a warning from someone. Kyle showed up at Maxie's hospital room with flowers and tried to express concern, but Maxie sent him away.
Outside the Quartermaine mansion, Alexis, disguised as "Dobson," was really nervous when it seemed Cameron was onto her, but she relaxed when he revealed why he was there: to see Alexis. After "Dobson" told Cameron that Alexis wasn't there, he went inside and talked to Ned, who told him he hadn't seen Alexis either. Alexis arrived without the disguise and was angry when Ned told her that the visiting schedule with Kristina would remain in place and that Skye had been a big help with Kristina. Alexis nearly gave herself away when she repeated something she'd overheard while disguised as "Dobson." Alexis told Ned not to get too comfortable, reminding him that the custody agreement was only temporary.
As Faith eavesdropped, Liz told Emily about her pregnancy and the situation with Ric. Emily told Liz about the cancer and her fears over what chemotherapy treatments would do to her. Liz tried to instill hope in Emily and make her feel more positive but suggested that Emily tell Zander the whole truth. Later, Faith approached the two outside of Kelly's, and after Faith threatened Liz, Emily informed Faith that Jason Morgan was her brother and that if Liz were harmed, Jason would make Faith "disappear."
After Faith threatened Emily, Emily slapped her across the face. Faith left but not before telling Liz she was "accident-prone." Emily returned home, where she told Alan and Monica that she had decided to undergo chemotherapy treatments after all. Alan said he'd schedule the first treatment for the following day, but Emily told him not to because she had something planned for the next day. Emily called Zander and made plans to spend the next day with him.
At the penthouse, Ric denied any involvement in drug dealing at the Cellar then told Sonny and Carly that as of that moment, the vendetta he'd had against Sonny was over and that he had realized what was important in life: his love for Liz and their baby she was carrying. After he called a truce, Ric told Sonny he'd understand if Sonny didn't want him in his life -- as a brother or as a friend. When Ric left, Carly warned Sonny not to trust him. Sonny believed that Ric had had nothing to do with the ecstacy at the Cellar but thought it was a warning from someone else. He told Carly he wanted to send her away for her own protection, but she refused.
Ric returned to his apartment and found Liz waiting outside. He told her about calling a truce with Sonny and that she and the baby were the most important people in his life. When he proposed to her, he was surprised when she smiled and accepted. They kissed, and he carried her into his apartment. After the door shut, Faith approached Ric's door with a very determined expression on her face. Later, Sonny, Carly, and Michael left their building. In a happy mood, they were about to approach their limousine when an explosion rocked the area. The family dove for cover.
In his hotel room, Lucky was surprised to wake up and find Summer kissing him. Before they could get any more involved, Nikolas arrived. When Summer went to shower, Nikolas showed Lucky the plans for one of the Cassadine family estates and warned Lucky to keep Summer in the dark. Lucky argued that Summer should be a fully accepted member of their team. Nikolas insisted that Summer had had her own agenda from the beginning and warned Lucky that Summer's last partner had ended up with a knife in his back.
When Nikolas left to get a car, Lucky hid the plans for the estate under his mattress. Summer got out of the shower, dropped her towel, and put the moves on Lucky. When Nikolas returned, Summer claimed she was headed out for food while Nikolas and Lucky made plans for getting into the estate -- and Summer rushed past Nikolas. Nikolas told Lucky that they didn't have time to wait for Summer to return. However, when Lucky went to get the plans, he discovered they were gone and suspected Summer had taken them.
While Nikolas was busy telling Lucky, "I told you so," Summer arrived at the former Cassadine estate and learned too late that it had since been turned into a bordello frequented by drunken military men. One of the drunken customers mistook Summer for one of the working girls, grabbed her, and headed off to the nearest bedroom with her. Summer tried to convince the drunken soldier that she was a tourist from Iowa, but he spoke little English. Summer was pleasantly surprised when Luke emerged from a corner of the room and smashed the inebriated customer over the head.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Emily asked "Dobson" to order a romantic picnic lunch she could take with her to the boathouse to celebrate "one perfect day" with Zander. Skye overheard the preparations under discussion and asked Dobson to also oversee a romantic dinner Skye had planned to share with Ned. Later, Emily quietly confided to Monica that she planned to tell Zander about her cancer at the end of their "perfect day."
Later, at the boathouse, Zander admitted that Emily's constantly changing moods had him totally confused. But, when Zander suggested that they should make "One Perfect Day" an annual event, even when they were old and grey, Emily's mood changed again. When Zander wanted to go swimming, Emily begged off, claiming the water was freezing. Emily invited Zander inside the boathouse, which she had decorated with the soft glow of Chinese lanterns, and reminded Zander that the boathouse was the first place they had ever made love, and they hit the sheets.
Afterwards, Emily decided against telling Zander about her cancer. When they returned to the Quartermaine mansion, Zander told Emily he believed she had something else on her mind, but Emily insisted he was wrong. However, after Zander left, Emily placed a phone call and left a message that she needed to speak to someone right away. Later at the Quartermaine mansion, Skye met Ned for their dinner together, with Kristina in her arms. As Ned and Skye returned to the nursery to put Kristina to bed, "Dobson" finished the preparations for Skye and Ned's "romantic" dinner by dumping pepper on all of Skye's dishes.
At Ric's apartment, Ric declared he planned to spoil Liz rotten. However, when Ric went into the next room for a special surprise, Liz got the morning paper from the front door and saw the news that someone had tried to blow up Sonny's car. When Ric returned, Liz asked him what he had done. Ric assured Liz that he'd had nothing to do with the car bomb, and Ric finally succeeded in convincing Liz that the only thing that counted was how much Ric loved Liz.
Ric took out his surprise -- a marriage license ready to go -- and told Liz that he would like to get married that very day. Liz finally agreed but told Ric that she wanted to wear a special dress and take a few frilly things with her. Ric agreed. After Liz left to pack for their elopement, Ric ordered a bridal bouquet to take with them.
At the penthouse, Sonny ordered Jason to take Courtney, Carly, and Michael to the island for safety, but Jason was reluctant to go. When Sonny confided that he suspected that Ric had been behind the bombing of Sonny's car, Jason urged Sonny to wait until he had facts before making any kind of move on Ric. Sonny insisted that he needed to know his family was safe, and the only person he could trust with that job was Jason, and Sonny ordered Jason to go with Carly and Michael. After Jason left with Courtney, Carly, and Michael, Sonny ordered his men to pick Ric up and deliver him to the penthouse.
Scott arrived and informed Sonny that his deceased chauffeur had had an extra $3000,000 in his bank account. Scott warned Sonny that, if Sonny did not help Scott get a handle on whomever was behind the bombing, Sonny would end up like all gangsters -- just a stain on the pavement. Reminding Sonny that he was not invincible, Scott warned Sonny that going it alone could end up getting Sonny's entire family killed. Scott warned Sonny that, one day, the police would no longer be willing to take measures to protect Sonny from his enemies then Scott stormed out of the penthouse.
Meanwhile, when Jason arrived on the island with Carly, Michael, and Courtney in tow, Carly tried to convince Jason to return to Port Charles to help Sonny, but Jason refused. Later, as Courtney and Jason talked on the beach, Carly assured Michael that they were all 100% safe on the island. However, at the same time, two black-clad men quietly entered the house through a window.
At Ric's apartment, Liz's bridal bouquet was delivered. After Ric took the bouquet inside, Max and another of Sonny's goons pushed their way in and grabbed Ric. In the struggle that followed, the bridal bouquet got trampled on the floor. Later, at Sonny's penthouse, Sonny accused Ric of being behind the bombing. Ric protested his innocence, to no avail. Sonny refused to believe that Ric had had nothing to do with the bombing and reminded Ric that Sonny had no reason to believe anything Ric had to say. Ric brazenly admitted that he once would have considered it a victory if Sonny had killed his own brother and then had to live the rest of his life with the guilt -- but Ric argued that all of that was behind Ric as Ric planned his new life with Liz.
In the meantime, Liz returned to Ric's apartment, all packed for their elopement. She found the apartment empty and discovered the battered bouquet on the floor. At Sonny's penthouse, Sonny ordered Max to get rid of Ric. As Max held Ric at gunpoint, Sonny suddenly received a call from a mystery caller, who announced to Sonny, "The limo explosion was proof we can get to you any time, Corinthos. We will be contacting you soon to open negotiations." Sonny ordered the caller to stay away from his family, but the caller hung up.
Alexis, as "Dobson," received orders from Skye about how the dinner she had planned for Skye and Ned should be prepared. Ned showed up and asked Skye what the special dinner was supposed to be for. Skye told him it was a thank you dinner for all his support lately. Dobson was asked to uncork the champagne and pour a glass for Ned. Dobson shook up the bottle while Skye's back was turned.
Dobson opened the champagne, turned around, and spilled it all over Skye's outfit. Skye accused Dobson of being incompetent. Dobson was apologetic but secretly smiled at Skye's stained outfit. Dobson suggested that Skye go upstairs and change clothes and that he would make sure Ned got fed and warmed up her food for her to eat later. Ned suggested to Skye that she should just take off her sweater, since it was the only thing that had gotten wet. Dobson realized her plan to sabotage Skye's dinner was backfiring.
Ned admired Skye's dress, and they sat down to eat. Skye started to eat her salad and started choking on the large amount of pepper that Dobson had poured on it. Ned told her to take a drink of water to help. Dobson walked over and hit Skye in the back hard to "help" her stop choking. Ned didn't like Dobson's style and reprimanded him for almost ruining the whole dinner.
Dobson apologized to Ned, who insisted he apologize to Skye instead. Dobson apologized to Skye and took off. Ned and Skye discussed their new mutual respect for each other. Ned admitted he had never really been attracted to her because of how she treated everyone and her scheming but that he had seen a new side of her that he liked a lot, especially how good she was with Kristina. Skye held Ned's hand, and the dinner became more intimate.
Ned and Skye were about to kiss when Alexis walked in and interrupted. Alexis told them that Dobson had told her to go into the living room to find him. Skye wasn't surprised that Dobson had planned it. Alexis asked Ned if she could see the baby even though it wasn't one of her scheduled visits. Ned told her that he couldn't let her see the baby because she was sleeping, and it wouldn't be good for Alexis to wake her up. Alexis asked him if he was using a court order as an excuse to somehow keep her away from seeing her baby.
Ned told Alexis he didn't want her to defy the court order and that she needed to get better and keep going to therapy. Alexis made a snide remark about letting Dobson put her in a straitjacket on her way out. Skye butted in and made a remark about Alexis not being a good mother if she was upsetting Kristina's schedule all the time. Ned tried to assure her that everyone was trying to do the best job of taking good care of the baby while Alexis was in therapy.
Alexis pointed out that Skye was not the mother of the baby and hadn't been around when Alexis had carried the baby and when she had spent three weeks with her in neonatal ICU. After Alexis left, Skye tried to salvage what was left of their dinner. The baby started crying on the monitor, so Ned told her they would have to take a rain check, since he needed to see what the baby needed.
Later, Skye held the baby in the living room and thanked her for stopping her crying when Skye picked her up, since it had won her points with Ned. Alexis, dressed as Dobson, overheard Skye tell the baby that she hoped one day that Kristina thought of her as her mommy. Dobson was shaken by how close Skye was getting to her baby.
Nikolas and Lucky showed up at a bordello. Nikolas told Lucky that the bordello had been stables and that it had been owned by the Cassadines many years before. Nikolas got everyone's attention and asked if anyone had seen a beautiful blonde woman enter a few hours before. The madam and a man approached them. The guy recognized who Nikolas was, but Nikolas didn't know him at first.
The guy introduced himself as the younger brother of one of the Cassadines' horse trainers. The guy embraced Nikolas and asked what he could do for him. Nikolas sent Lucky off to find Summer and get the blueprints she had stolen from them. Nikolas told the guy that he needed to retrieve something that belonged in his family.
Meanwhile, Luke dragged the unconscious guy that had tried to force himself on Summer. Luke asked her for the blueprints, and she got them out of her purse for him. She made a comment about how when Lucky found her, he would realize she had betrayed him again. Luke saw the look of disappointment on her face and accused her of being in love with his son.
Summer denied she was in love with Lucky and said that making a fortune was more important to her right then. Luke didn't totally buy her story and accused her of being sentimental. Lucky knocked on the door, and Luke hid in the closet. He entered and accused Summer of betraying him again by stealing the blueprints that belonged to Nikolas. Luke stepped out of the closet and took credit for her little scheme, and Summer admitted she was working with Luke.
Lucky accused Summer of working with Luke all along. Luke said that only recently had she started working with him and that he had done it as revenge against Lucky for siding with Nikolas through the whole thing. Lucky said that he was starting to think that Luke and Nikolas found it more important who got to what first, and who cared who they betrayed in the process. Luke took off with the blueprints when Nikolas knocked on the door.
Nikolas walked in and asked Summer to hand over the blueprints. She told him he was too late and that Luke had just taken off with them. Lucky suggested he go after him, since Luke couldn't have gone far. Nikolas didn't even bother to go after Luke and instead turned on Summer and called her a "bitch." Lucky automatically defended Summer but refused to take anyone's side, since he had realized that he was his own person and found that he and Luke were equally at fault and that it was their war.
Nikolas left the room. Lucky asked Summer why he put up with what she had done to him when if it had been anyone else who had betrayed and double-crossed him like she had done, he would have tossed them aside long before. Summer looked disappointed but didn't answer him.
Faith showed up at Ric's place. Liz was there, waiting anxiously for Ric to return. Faith saw that Liz was wearing a white dress. She told Liz that she shouldn't bother waiting for Ric to return and that she was only a distraction to him while he got revenge on Sonny. Liz disagreed with her and tried to get her to leave. Faith said that even if Liz married Ric, she would not be happy, since she would always wonder what he was doing when he wasn't at home with her. Liz turned the tables on Faith about what her agenda was with Ric. She asked Faith how desperate she was to have a man who didn't want her or had only had a one-night stand with her.
Meanwhile, Ric tried to convince Sonny that he'd had nothing to do with the car bombing or the drug setup at Carly's club. Sonny had Max keep a gun on Ric and insisted that Ric tell the truth about what his involvement was with the car bombing. Sonny got a call from an anonymous caller who took credit for the bombing. Ric told Sonny he didn't know anything about it and that he had meant what he'd said about stopping his vendetta against Sonny and moving on with his life. Ric said he intended to marry Liz as soon as possible, and since they were expecting a baby, he was making her his top priority. Sonny let him go.
Ric returned to his place and found Liz chewing out Faith. Ric kissed Liz and asked her if they were still getting married. Liz told him she was. Faith was totally disgusted and asked if Liz was actually buying his act of love. Ric told Faith that he understood how she might be distrustful of his love of Liz because of how he had gone after Sonny but told her that Liz was the woman he loved. He said that Faith wasn't half the woman Liz was and that he was going to marry Liz. Faith grabbed Liz's bouquet that she had already ripped pieces off of, threw it at Liz, wished her luck, and told her not to say she hadn't been warned about Ric.
Liz and Ric went to see a justice of the peace. The justice of the peace and his wife were very warm and kind and offered Liz a bouquet to use for the ceremony. Liz and Ric said their own vows, and Ric surprised her when he pulled out three rings, including a diamond ring for her as well. The justice of the peace blessed the rings and handed them to Ric and Liz to put on. They were pronounced husband and wife. Faith hung around Ric's place in despair for him marrying Liz and threw the bouquet around in anger.
Carly and Michael hung out in their hotel room on the island. Two men with guns hung around outside and spied on them. Carly and Michael went to change for the beach to meet Courtney and Jason. The men waited and stormed inside the room while Carly and Michael were in the bedroom. Jason and Courtney returned and found no sign of Carly and Michael around the beach. Jason started to get worried about them, and then he heard a sound and saw the men leaving the room quickly.
Jason took out his gun and ordered Courtney to lie on the ground. He stormed into the room to catch them and saw them rush out of the room. Jason hollered out to Carly and Michael. Carly walked out and jumped when she saw Jason with his gun out. She told him she hadn't heard or seen any men enter their cabana and that she had just put Michael down for a nap instead of going to the beach.
Jason went out and couldn't catch up to the men in time. He returned and told Carly that the men had gone inside her room for a reason and that it could be a bomb for all they knew. He made Courtney take Carly and Michael out of the cabana and assured them he would meet up with them later outside the hotel. Jason stayed behind and looked around for any hint of something planted there. He looked behind a picture frame and found bags of cocaine or heroin taped to the back of it.
Some DEA agents showed up and banged on the door for it to be opened up. Jason realized he was being set up. The DEA agents knocked down the door minutes later and found Jason lying on the couch with headphones on, reading a magazine. They asked him why he hadn't let them in, and he said that he hadn't heard them. He admitted that he was Sonny's business partner, and they guessed who he was.
The DEA agents told Jason that they had received a call that some drugs were being dropped at that cabana. Jason feigned ignorance and watched as one of the agents looked behind the picture frame and found no drugs. Jason received a call from Sonny, telling him that he didn't think Ric had had anything to do with the car bombing or the drug selling at Carly's club. Jason filled him in on what had happened with the DEA and how he had managed to flush the drugs down the toilet before the agents had burst through the door. Sonny told him that they had to find out who was behind all of it -- quickly.
Later, Jason, Courtney, Carly, and Michael returned home. Carly took Michael and Courtney into the kitchen so Jason and Sonny could talk. Sonny told Jason about the anonymous phone call and that someone wanted them to go down.
Emily headed out to the living room and approached one of the back doors. Lila was in the room and asked her what she was running from. Emily confessed to Lila that she didn't have a drug problem again but had breast cancer, was supposed to have her first trial of chemotherapy, and didn't want to go. Lila advised her to face things head-on and not run.
Alan and Monica looked everywhere for Emily. She walked into the foyer and told them she was ready to go to the hospital. Emily's doctor told her not to look at the chemotherapy as making her sick but as a way for her to get better. Emily put on a brave front for Monica and Alan.
Emily arrived at home, feeling weak and tired from the chemotherapy. She was surprised when Zander happened to be at the house, waiting for her. Alan and Monica left them alone to talk. Emily still lied to him and told him that they had gone to a counseling session with her, and a lot had been said. Zander suggested they rent a couple of movies when she told him she didn't want to go anywhere right then.
Emily told Zander she was tired and needed her space from him at that moment. Later, Alan and Monica got her settled in her room. After they left her bedroom, she called a mysterious person and left a message that she needed to see them.
Lucky and Nikolas showed up at an underground tunnel that had belonged to the Cassadines at one time. They looked around for some sort of hiding place where the money might be. Lucky got sick of Nikolas putting Summer down and himself for believing her all the time. They heard a woman's scream and a crashing noise and headed out to find its source.
Lucky and Nikolas found Summer's leg pinned under the heavy part of a gravestone. They helped Summer. Nikolas tried to get her to leave the tunnel, but Lucky defended her again. Summer refused to leave the tunnel and told them she had just as much of a right to find the fortune as they did, since she had worked as hard as them to get that far. Lucky grabbed the tire iron from her and started hitting the wall with it.
Nikolas didn't like Lucky's method of finding the money but realized there was something behind the stone wall. They tore the wall apart and went into a secret back room. They were surprised to find Luke waiting for them. Summer opened up one of the crates and found a load of money inside. Nikolas looked at a piece of the money and knew it was a fake. Luke confirmed that the money was not worth anything but as a collector's item. Summer was furious.
Lucky and Nikolas guessed that Matt had to have stolen the money first and gotten killed for it. Luke told Lucky that he was done with Lucky for taking Nikolas' side again and going after the money with Nikolas. Luke told Lucky he was heading home.
Sonny tried to find out who had been behind the drug setup. He sent Jason out to find out what he could. Jason met with Zander, who confirmed that the drugs were from Miami, but he didn't know who the dealer or seller was right then. Courtney played a game with Michael.
Michael asked Carly if he could go out and play at the park. Carly told him that to be safe, he couldn't leave the house for a few days. Michael complained that he was sick of being cooped up at home and asked Sonny if he could go to the park and play. Sonny told him he couldn't for a few days, and Michael didn't like his answer and blamed him for not being able to go anywhere. Sonny told Michael he couldn't go anywhere and sent him to his room for a time-out. Michael stormed up the stairs.
Carly went across the hall and saw Jason give a man an envelope of money. She asked him what was going on and who the man was. Jason told her it was nothing she needed to know, which worried. her. She started to hound him about keeping secrets from her that could concern Sonny's welfare. Jason interrupted her and explained that the man was a jeweler and that he had ordered a ring for Courtney. Carly was excited for him and hugged him. They went back across the hall again.
Courtney went back to their place again when Jason concluded his business with Sonny for a while. Carly went upstairs to explain to Michael about their security measures and why he couldn't go out anywhere for a while. Sonny started to blame himself for keeping Michael locked up like he was in some sort of cage and confided in Carly that he didn't want Michael to be scared of anything or anyone, including him.
Meanwhile, Ric surprised Liz with breakfast and plans for a honeymoon in Italy and France. Liz was happy, and the newlyweds shared an intimate moment that Faith witnessed when she sneaked into their apartment. Ric left for a while. Faith showed up and knocked on the door. Liz asked who it was before deciding whether to open it or not. Faith identified herself and said that she hadn't stopped over to harm Liz but to warn her that she had information that Sonny was going to kill Ric and had put out a hit on him in retaliation for the car bomb.
Liz didn't know whether to believe Faith and worried for Ric's safety. She called Sonny and asked him to meet her near his penthouse building. Sonny reluctantly agreed to meet with her. Shortly after Sonny left, Courtney showed up with some potato chips for Carly, and the two talked about the danger in the business their men were in.
Ric showed up looking for Sonny. He told Carly and Courtney that he had married Liz the previous night and that he wanted Sonny to know that. Carly told him that Sonny was meeting with Liz right then and told him their whereabouts. Faith followed Liz to the meeting place and watched her talk to Sonny. Liz asked Sonny to promise not to kill Ric as a favor he owed her for when she had been there when Carly had been taken into the hospital and she had helped him. Sonny informed her that he didn't owe her anything anymore.
Liz told Sonny that she was married to Ric and that Ric wasn't a threat to him anymore. She said Ric had had nothing to do with the car bombing or drug setup. Sonny didn't really believe it and called Ric a rapist and killer, adding that he didn't believe Ric was a good person. Sonny walked away and headed back into the building of his penthouse. Liz walked toward the stairs in despair, and Faith ran behind her and pushed her down the stairs. Faith went down the stairs and looked at Liz. Faith nudged Liz with her toe to see she was unconscious.
Ric found Liz later at the bottom of the stairs. Sonny returned home and told Jason about Ric and Liz's marriage and how he had once thought Liz was a good girl, but he felt she sounded and acted just like Ric. Sonny went back into his place and told Carly about his meeting with Liz, how angry she had made him, and how he didn't remember much about the rest of the meeting but just saw things through a red haze. Jason returned to his apartment and surprised Courtney with an engagement ring after she told him that she could accept his dangerous life as long as she could be with him. She loved the ring. He put it on her finger, and the two kissed.
