Okay, who else giggled when Reese called out Bianca's name after Zach sat down next to Reese, following her corrective eye surgery, and picked up her hand? Really? You can't tell the difference between Bianca and Zach's hands? Does that mean Zach has smooth delicate hands or that Bianca has hairy calloused ones? Hmm...I suddenly found myself wondering if Zach carried around a murse (man-purse) in which he kept a bottle of lotion so that he could regularly moisturize throughout the day.

Hi everyone! I bet you didn't expect to see me back here so soon, huh? Dan's away on assignment with Guiding Light, so he asked me to pinch-hit for him this week. And what a week it was!

Hmm...I suddenly found myself wondering if Zach carried around a murse (man-purse) in which he kept a bottle of lotion so that he could regularly moisturize throughout the day.

I'm one of those rare birds who isn't particularly enamored of Ryan, Zach or Kendall. I am not a fan of Zendall or Rendall. So when Kendall and Ryan did the deed this week, it didn't break my heart. However, it did annoy me.

Did Kendall learn nothing from her bout of infidelity with Aidan? Apparently not because there she was, crying bout Zach one minute then sexing it up with Ryan the next. I know soap people tend to have a very high sex drive, but I really couldn't understand what drove the passion here.

How can I believe Ryan is suddenly hot for Kendall when he's supposed to be reeling from losing the love of his life? Then there's Kendall who claims to love both Ryan and Zach, in part because each is the father of her child. When exactly did that happen? And just how in love could she really have been with Zach if she could so easily fall back in love with Ryan?

I find myself wishing that the writing had been more character driven. This could have been a fascinating story if it didn't feel so rushed and forced. Case in point: that ridiculous DVD that Greenlee made for Ryan in the event of her death. The one where she told him that she wanted him to be happy even if it meant loving someone else after she was gone.

I somehow doubt she intended for Ryan to move on quite this quickly.

There remains a slim chance that the body found wasn't Greenlee. I know Aidan took a gander but let's face it, there probably wasn't much to recognize. I watch CSI: Las Vegas so I know that after a couple of days in the water a body does not fare well. We'll know more when the DNA tests come back, but I won't be surprised if we learn that the body wasn't Greenlee's.

Moving on, the saga of Krystal and David continues. In a show of good faith, David signed over all rights to Amanda's baby. Had any other man done that, I might have believed it. However, I don't' trust David. Either that document is somehow fraudulent or the ink will eventually disappear. I'm sorry, but I don't believe David has any intention of leaving that baby alone. It's simply not in his nature.

I kind of like the way Amanda's mind works. I think her idea to give her baby up for adoption is not only a brilliant plan but also a truly selfless act. That baby would have a much better shot at life without Amanda and David hovering over the poor thing. Nothing against Amanda but she was raised by Janet From Another Planet. Janet wasn't exactly the best role model. Some people are just not meant to be parents. As much as I adore Amanda, I think everyone would be better off if she didn't raise any young.

So, I'm definitely on board with the idea of her giving the child up for adoption and making David believe it had died. Bless his evil black heart, but it's what that diabolical bastard deserves.

Speaking of just desserts, Krystal has some headed her way. This week my sympathy for her situation waned significantly. As long as she remained in the dark about David's wrongdoing she came off as a victim. This week though she drifted into the realm of co-conspirator. She knew David poisoned JR to lure Adam home yet in the end she sided with David. Shame on her.

It also bothered me when she told David that she gave up Jenny for him. WHAT?!? I loved how David told her that no, she didn't give up Jenny for him; Tad took Jenny away from her.

Elsewhere this week, Opal's house burned down. As she recovered from smoke inhalation she learned that her insurance had lapsed, her business manager left her flat broke and Palmer was in the wind. Luckily, Opal has a couple of decent sons. Tad invited his mother and brother to move into his house, which is starting to resemble a flophouse for displaced Pine Valley residents.

Pete, meanwhile, has taken on an extra job. He's now Aidan's spy. I like the idea of Pete keeping tabs on Ryan. Partly because it's funny to watch Ryan being taken down by a kid he clearly underestimated and partly because it's what Ryan deserves for deceiving Pete in the first place. I admit I'm also a fan of Daniel Kennedy's work.

Little Petey was a creepy kid who reminded me of a serial killer in the making. Pete, on the other hand, is a charming young man who has a kind heart. He's entertaining to watch and easy on the eyes in that Clark Kent kind of way.
