Congratulations are in order for daytime stars Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, General Hospital) and Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra, The Young and the Restless/The Bold and the Beautiful), who officially became husband and wife in a gothic, steampunk-style wedding ceremony over the weekend.
The bride and groom both wore red Victorian ensembles, while the couple's wedding guests -- which included many of their soap opera colleagues -- kept to the unique "Til Death" theme by wearing all-black outfits.
Hope took to Instagram with some photos from the very special evening, which she describes as "the perfect gothic night, surrounded by those we cherish most."
Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan, B&B) was among the wedding guests and captured the bride and groom dancing to "Yours" by singer Russell Dickerson. "Congratulations to this beautiful couple!" Lang posted. "I am so happy for you both... you are both special people. And the best wedding ever! The music, the setting, the vibes, the vows, the theme, the people, friends and family, the love. FANTASTIC!!! Love you! #teamdope #steampunkwedding."
Actress Patrika Darbo (Shirley Spectra, B&B/Y&R) posted a video from the pair's wedding in which she called the event "fabulous" and the couple "beautiful."
"It's such a fun event. We had a wonderful Texas barbeque -- chicken and beef and brussels sprouts. We're having a nice evening," Darbo said. "Courtney was absolutely effing fabulous in her red gown and Chad in that tuxedo! We're having a great time!"
Annika Noelle (Hope Logan, B&B) also shared photos from Hope and Duell's wedding and wrote, "Congratulations to the wedded rockstars @thecourtneyhope & @duelly. If last night was just a glimpse of the love, laughter, and joy you two share, I know you have a lifetime of happiness ahead. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful night."
Additional guests in attendance included B&B's Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton) and Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan), and Y&R's Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) and Hunter King (ex-Summer Newman).
Duell and Hope began dating in 2016 after reportedly meeting at a party thrown by Duell's former GH castmate Bryan Craig (who played Michael's brother Morgan). The couple shared news of their engagement in February, with Hope enthusing that her love surprised her with a poem and a ring on Valentine's Day.
"He read me the most beautiful poem, because I love poetry, and I started choking up. He then told me to close my eyes and turn the other way 'cause he had to 'set something up,'" she told People. "Then he comically fumbled behind me to distract me from what he was really doing -- and when I turned around, he was on his knee!"
The actress also shared that she is beyond excited for her future with Duell. "Just getting to create memories forever, our future children and family, the places we'll travel and all the laughs we'll have makes me so thrilled to think about," she enthuses. I enjoy every day with him, so each present moment is beyond fulfilling."
Added Duell, "It's a whole new step and a lot of excitement for our future. I get to call her my wife! I'm excited for a lot: our future kids, new adventures, a new home, and having my best friend to grow old with."
