Fans who have been missing Billy Miller as The Young and the Restless' Billy Abbott and General Hospital's Drew Cain were thrilled to see the star break his social media silence with a video message to fans.
In a post made through his manager, Marnie Sparer, Miller begins his message with, "Hello from quarantine! I hope that everybody is safe and healthy and finding a way to navigate through this trying time as best as humanly possible. As you can tell, I have the standard-issue quarantine beard and this crazy mop going on. It is what it is. It's a new look!"
The actor then spills the real reason for his post: to honor the late and great Y&R star, Jeanne Cooper (ex-Katherine Chancellor), who was front and center in the throwback episodes the soap opera aired last week due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"One of my most favorite people to have ever walked the face of this Earth," Miller says about the late actress as he shows off a photo of them together that he keeps on his desk. "I love this woman. I miss her dearly."
He continues, "She took a real interest in me and my career from the very beginning of Y&R. She would check on me all the time, call me at home out of the blue, and made sure that I was finding my way through this crazy business in the best possible way. She was the matriarch of Y&R. She truly loved all her fans, everyone she worked with. I miss her. I love her. I say we continue to celebrate her, and I'm glad that you guys are."

Miller began his career in soaps with the role of All My Children's Richie Novak, which he landed in 2007. He moved to CBS's The Young and the Restless in 2008 and played Billy Abbott until 2014, at which time he went back to ABC as a recast for the role of GH's Jason Morgan -- who turned out to be Jason's previously unknown twin, Drew Cain by the time Miller left the soap in 2019.
Since leaving daytime, Miller has taken on the role of Alex Dunn in the new series Truth Be Told, which was picked up for a second season earlier this year.
