Hard work does pay off. Two years after joining the cast of The Young and the Restless in the recurring role of JT Hellstrom, Thad Luckinbill has been put on contract.
When he joined the cast of the top-rated soap in November 2000, Luckinbill's time in Genoa City was designed to last only a short time. However, the writers obviously saw a need for his character and execs and fans alike enjoyed his work.
The bump up to contract status comes as Luckinbill has found additional success outside of daytime. The actor recently wrapped up work on an episode of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and is schedule to begin filming a part in the feature film Just Married.
A show spokesperson declined comment, explaining that it is not network policy to comment on contracts.
