The 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony included an emotional In Memoriam that paid tribute to beloved entertainers that have passed away in the past year. Among the performers honored in this weekend's ceremony were several actors from the daytime world, including Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil Winters, The Young and the Restless), Luke Perry (ex-Kenny, Another World; ex-Ned Bates, Loving), and Cameron Boyce (ex-Michael "Stone" Cates, General Hospital: Night Shift).
As Soap Central previously reported, St. John died of heart disease on February 3, Perry passed away after a stroke on March 4, and Boyce succumbed to a seizure due to epilepsy on July 6. Photos of the three actors were included in the SAG tribute, which was presented by This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown.
"As screen actors, we are immensely fortunate to work in a medium capable of preserving our work well beyond our time on this earth," Brown said before the broadcast of the In Memoriam. "Although their passing leaves an emptiness in our hearts, the friends and colleagues we lost this year have imparted an extraordinary legacy, performances that will continue to captivate, entertain, and inspire us for generations to come."
