JANUARY 1997
January 6 to 10, 1997
Blair and Todd fought for custody of Starr, and Blair taped their conversation. Viki agreed to help Todd but wondered if Todd were fighting for the right reasons. Alex also teamed up with Todd. Patrick agreed to testify on Blair's behalf. He promised Marty that Blair wouldn't get between the two of them, even though Blair was pregnant with his child. Marty received a subpoena to testify for Todd's side. Maggie's father showed up at her hotel room. He wanted her help in moving a dead woman from his own room. Maggie left a sleeping Max behind and managed to help her father before Max woke up. She slipped back into bed. Cassie and Kevin spent a fun afternoon together at Cassie's place, working on a story, and Kevin left before Andrew returned home. Antonio hid from the police and planned to leave town. Carlotta agreed it was the right decision. Asa and Cord gave Dorian an ultimatum regarding the 20 million dollars she had cost them.
January 13 to 17, 1997
Bo went to New York City to try to capture Antonio. Starr's custody hearing began. Addie testified on Todd's behalf. Dylan went back to North Carolina. Dorian left town to go find Olivia. Patrick asked Marty to marry him. Antonio had Nora kidnapped and decided to turn himself in.
January 20 to 24, 1997
The bishop convinced Maggie to keep their secret from Max. Maggie got her letter of separation from the order. Todd and Blair were observed with Starr by a social worker. Antonio turned himself in and pleaded not guilty. Carlo's memorial service was held. Alex and Hank agreed on a plea bargain. Asa decided he wanted to run Buchanan Enterprises again.
January 27 to 31, 1997
Abuelita's granddaughter, Téa, arrived to help with Antonio's case. Cord said goodbye to Llanview. Dorian unknowingly sold her house to Todd. Marty passed the board exams. Joey learned of Kelly's lies. Maggie looked into her father's past. Marty and Todd's plane was about to crash. Antonio met with Van Hinkle in Philadelphia.

FEBRUARY 1997
February 3 to 7, 1997
Dorian enlisted Drew's help to keep Kelly from going to Paris. Marty and Todd's plane crashed. Kevin and Cassie spied a letter from the Banco de Rio to R.J. Max and Asa bought the local radio station. Blair gave Patrick a sonogram picture of his son. Patrick's poems were published. Antonio's fundraiser began. Starr got sick.
February 10 to 14, 1997
Ian Armitage arrived in town to talk to Maggie about his mother's death. Antonio's fundraiser ended with a fight between R.J. and Antonio. Starr got sick. Joey left for Paris, but Kelly stayed behind. WVL hosted Patrick's Valentine's Day poetry slam. Kevin and Cassie headed to Rio. Nora prepared for Antonio's trial.
February 17 to 21, 1997
Kevin and Cassie stole papers from the bank that incriminated R.J. Later they shared a romantic moment. Antonio's trial began with testimony from Max, Dorian, R.J., and Andy. Rachel told Bo of R.J.'s connection to Banco de Rio. Todd and Blair learned Starr had aplastic anemia. Ian continued hanging around Maggie, which aroused Max's curiosity.
February 24 to 28, 1997
Maggie told Max the truth about Eleanor. Ian hired a private investigator to tail Maggie. Kevin and Cassie had the papers stolen at gunpoint, then discussed their relationship on the plane. Patrick had R.J. arrested and taken back to Llanview. R.J. admitted to shutting off the lights on the Orion. Téa attacked Andy on the witness stand.

MARCH 1997
March 3 to 7, 1997
Antonio took the stand. Drew intercepted Joey's calls to Kelly. Viki, Dorian, and Todd were tested as bone marrow donors. The residents of Angel Square held a rally to support Antonio. R.J. was arrested. Hank presented his closing arguments. Bo put the clues together in Carlo's murder.
March 10 to 14, 1997
Nora stalled until Bo returned with Mortimer, who testified that Alex had shot Carlo. Asa admitted that he had also seen Alex murder Hesser. Andy was held hostage, but was rescued. Ian followed Max and Maggie to the inn. The case against Antonio was dismissed. Mortimer -- or was it Carlo? -- disappeared. Kelly finally talked to Joey.
March 17 to 21, 1997
Cassie interrupted Kevin and Téa's passionate embrace. Dorian was forced to stay with Viki overnight. Kelly got drunk, and Drew kissed her. Patrick was very evasive about his parents and his past. Blair was furious when Todd lied to get her to work at the Sun. Ian and Maggie's father met for the first time.
March 24 to 28, 1997
Kevin and Téa almost made love at the Banner, but were stopped by Cassie's return. Antonio got the gun away from Casey and learned R.J. was behind the hit. Kelly decided to organize the fashion show herself. Ian got his mother's locket back, but it was empty.
March 31 to April 4, 1997
Asa made a scene in the courtroom and was denied bail. Max got Guy Armitage into town. Téa went to Statesville prison to talk to Javier. Blair and Starr moved back into Todd's penthouse. Drew threw Kelly's present from Joey in the trash. Antonio's prior conviction was overturned.

APRIL 1997
April 7 to 11, 1997
Ian and Maggie recovered from their motorcycle accident. The fashion show was a big success. Javier attacked Téa, but Kevin and Antonio rescued her. The charges against Asa were dropped. Maggie's father died. Dorian met Mel Hayes in Washington, DC. Hank and R.J. had visions of their mother.
April 14 to 18, 1997
Ian and Maggie learned they were twins. Todd hired Téa to defend Alex in return for an exclusive. Dorian tried to get Mel a job at the Banner, but Viki was against it because it had been Dorian's idea. Patrick told Marty the details of his sister's death. Blair's baby was tested as a donor match for Starr. R.J. had big plans for his club. Bo and Nora were both relieved and disappointed that the pregnancy test turned out to be negative. Nora threw a surprise party for Bo at the diner, and Asa reluctantly attended. Rachel told Hank how R.J. had been a big help to her during her recovery from drug use. She hoped that Hank and R.J. would be able to mend their relationship.
April 21 to 25, 1997
Mel Hayes arrived in Llanview to work for the Banner and ended up on the front page of the Sun. The bishop's funeral was held in Baltimore. Carlotta had romantic daydreams about some of the men of Llanview. Todd decided to keep the parrot that flew in his window. Starr was gravely ill, but Blair's baby turned out to be a match.
April 28 to May 2, 1997
Kelly, upset by her breakup with Joey, accidentally forced Patrick's car off the road. Blair's baby died. Alex was a donor match for Starr. Todd blamed Patrick for the accident. Rachel planned to work for R.J. Guy Armitage bought WVL from Asa. Kevin and Cassie made love. Cassie told Andrew that she had slept with Kevin.

May 5 to 9, 1997
Kelly told Drew the truth about the accident. Blair learned of Brendan's death. Blair went to Philadelphia for surgery. Starr had a bone marrow transplant. Cassie left Andrew. Drew failed to get Dorian's warehouse for Asa. Larry insisted Nora needed to change her lifestyle. Ernesto took Carlotta hostage.
May 12 to 16, 1997
Andrew risked his life to convince Ernesto to surrender. Todd visited Keneally in Ireland to learn Patrick's history. Antonio and the Angel Square community made plans against Asa and his bank. Kelly was filled with guilt about the accident and almost confessed to Andrew. Mel began to suspect Kelly.
May 19 to 23, 1997
Both Darcy and Cristian arrived to take Jessica to the prom. Keneally revealed Patrick's involvement with Lord Whiting's death. Rachel had a date with Track and moved in with Téa. Drew told Dorian the truth about Kelly and Blair's accident and then blackmailed her with the information. Mel went to Tennessee to investigate Drew.
May 26 to 30, 1997
Cristian was upset when he saw Jessica and Darcy kiss. Kelly confessed to Andrew about Blair's accident. Mel learned the truth about Drew's "con man" past from Becky Lee as Todd's plan to frame Patrick started in motion. Patrick punched Guy, and he and Mel were arrested and later released.

Mel told Kelly and Bo about Drew's con man past. Kelly told Bo and Nora she was responsible for the accident. Ian revealed to Guy that he was not Guy's son. Patrick and Marty went camping. Todd blew up Guy Armitage's boat and framed Patrick for the crime. Guy was severely injured.
June 9 to 13, 1997
Guy died before he could identify Todd as the bomber. Dorian and Mel accused each other of betrayal. Drew's con man past was revealed in the Sun. Patrick was the main suspect in Guy's murder.
June 16 to 20, 1997
Ian disposed of Guy's ashes. Rachel met Track's fiancée. Antonio asked Andy to marry him. Patrick told Marty the truth about Lord Whiting's death. Patrick was arrested for Guy's murder. Mel started to suspect Todd was behind Patrick's troubles. Starr returned home from the hospital.
June 23 to 27, 1997
Kelly went before the judge about Blair's accident. Andrew gave Cassie divorce papers. Maggie bought Dorian's warehouse. Mel learned that Todd had visited Keneally in Ireland. Milton helped Kevin break into Todd's bank records. Nora, Patrick, and Marty went after Patrick's last hope, a videotape from an ATM machine.
June 30 to July 4, 1997
Patrick was cleared. Drew left town. Kelly told Blair the truth about the accident. Blair couldn't forgive Kelly. Blair took a turn for the worse after telling Todd she wanted a divorce and custody of Starr. Alex had her day in court. Andy spied on R.J. and his associate. Carlotta and Hank slept together.

Blair suffered a stroke. Dorian filed to get custody of Starr. Téa agreed to marry Todd in return for five million dollars. Carlo returned and whisked Alex away in a limo. Andy got a job with Jackie McNaughton. Antonio aced his LSAT and planned to go to Berkeley for law school.
July 14 to 18, 1997
Carlo and Alex sent a videotaped farewell. Mel bought a houseboat. Antonio shot Javier in defense of Andy, and almost lost his grant. Todd and Téa got married, to no one's happiness. R.J. met Jacara, the owner of Blue Jay records. Hank was arrested for parking in a handicapped parking space. Blair remained in a coma, which left Starr with Todd, to Dorian's dismay.
July 21 to 25, 1997
Blair woke up from her coma, but had aphasia. Keneally escaped from prison. Nora and Bo went fishing. Nora went to see Larry about her continuing mood swings. R.J. and Jacara became partners. Todd almost killed Patrick with a pitchfork.
July 28 to August 1, 1997
Todd won custody of Starr. Eli ran away after his mother died, and he ended up at Andrew's. Blair regained her speech. Marty was pregnant. Antonio's bachelor party got out of hand. Blair learned of Todd and Téa's marriage. Antonio got locked on the roof on his wedding day.

August 4 to 8, 1997
Antonio and Andy got married and left for California. Mel talked to his daughter, Dorothy. Marty told Patrick and Viki she was pregnant. Blair struggled her way to Todd's penthouse to see Starr. The Lord Whiting investigation was reopened. Clint and Viki discussed their relationship over burnt steaks and flying tomatoes.
August 11 to 15, 1997
Clint and Viki argued in public. Todd offered Blair a job. Blair collapsed again. Maggie held a preview for her school. Max tampered with the boiler, and Maggie, Jessica, and Cristian were almost trapped in the burning warehouse. Nora agreed to mediate for Andrew and Cassie. The Whiting case was reopened. Michael Mahoney and Kenneally met.
August 18 to 22, 1997
Nora got her diagnosis from Larry...menopause. Mel went to New York to see Dorothy. R.J. hired a new bartender. Jacara showed interest in Hank. Maggie's insurance wouldn't pay for the loss of the building. Kevin asked Clint and Viki to be more accepting of Cassie. Blair decided being nice to Todd and Téa might help her win custody.
August 25 to 29, 1997
Mel visited his father's grave. Bo and Hank bought motorcycles. Carlotta sought Andrew's help to become Eli's foster mother. Mel dug further into Dorian's past. Bird scared Téa and stole her new watch. Todd and Kenneally made plans to have Michael Mahoney arrested.

Max confessed to Ian about the warehouse fire. Nora returned from the spa. Cassie learned her father, David Renaldi, had been in an accident. Mel continued to dig into Dorian's past. Blair and Kelly fought over Ian. Erykah Badu performed at Club Indigo. Jacara got an unwelcome phone call.
September 8 to 12, 1997
Blair went back to work at the Banner. Max got a letter from Gabrielle. Kenneally, Mahoney, and O'Hara arrived in town. Cassie arrived in Austria, but her father had already left. Jacara planned to move her recording studio to Llanview. Patrick and Marty got married. Mel was shot, and Patrick was killed.
September 15 to 19, 1997
Everyone thought Patrick was dead, but he was really alive, and Marty sneaked him out of Llanview. Mel survived surgery, and his mother and daughter arrived. Bo and Nora were having problems. Ian caught Max and Blair in the steam room. Blair was more determined than ever to get custody of Starr. Eli stole Hank's motorcycle.
September 22 to 26, 1997
Eli stole Hank's motorcycle. Ian told Maggie that Max had caused the warehouse fire. Maggie broke her engagement to Max and decided to leave Llanview for good. Chris Botti performed at Club Indigo. Dorothy decided to move to Llanview. Clint and Viki returned. The Cramer and the Hayes women had dinner.
September 29 to October 3, 1997
Maggie left Llanview. Mel got out of the hospital. Both Carlotta and Jacara showed up at Hank's fishing cabin. Todd returned. Téa developed a plan to push Blair's buttons at the charity auction. Dorian's phone bill proved she had called David. Addie provided a clue to Dorian's past. Dorothy told Mel the real reason her mother had visited just before her death. The charity auction began.

Blair pushed Téa out a window. Jacara and Carlotta both showed up at Hank's fishing cabin. Nora searched for a new assistant. Andrew went with Cassie to Dorian's, which upset Kevin. Ian and Kelly kissed. Carlotta was re-approved as Eli's foster mother. Todd tried to represent himself at the custody hearing, but a battered Téa arrived to help him.
October 13 to 17, 1997
Al went to live with Gabrielle. Ian forced Max to buy his shares of the waterfront project. Max decided to help Blair get Ian and his money. Viki and Clint went up to the cabin. Todd won custody of Starr. Kelly decided to go visit her mother. R.J. and Jacara had dinner. Jacara performed. Dorothy got a job. Mel returned to work. Joey returned home.
October 20 to 24, 1997
Joey met Dorothy in the elevator. Kelly and Ian flew to California to visit Melinda. R.J. made a deal to keep the mob out of Club Indigo. Jacara ended her partnership with R.J. Nora got a new assistant, Georgie. Todd decided to name his bird Moose. Dorian invited Melinda to Llanview. Viki's welcome home party for Joey began.
October 27 to 31, 1997
Téa and Todd had a heart-to-heart talk. Dorian crashed Viki's party. Kelly and Ian took Melinda back to Llanview. Nora' new assistant, Georgie, got her office in order. Viki started counseling with Dr. Maude. Jacara and Max discussed becoming partners. Eli vandalized the Angel and ran away. Joey and Kelly met face-to-face.

Eli ran away but was found and confessed to his crime. Max and Jacara made a deal. Melinda told Kelly about "the game." Dorian tampered with Melinda's medication. Blair lured Ian onto a yacht as part of her plan. Max and Blair kissed. Todd decided he wanted to become a media mogul like Guy Armitage. Dorothy moved into her new apartment. Joey tried to apologize to Kelly.
November 10 to 14, 1997
Kevin, Cassie, Todd and Téa argued up at the mountain cabin. Téa decided to spend a few days away. Todd was jealous when he found her with Andrew. Viki had a therapy session with Dr. Maude. Dorian tampered with Melinda's medication. Kelly and Ian had an argument. Blair and Max got closer. Max's children were kidnapped.
November 17 to 21, 1997
Max got the ransom money together and went to meet the kidnappers. Jessica and Cristian found Viki's "homework" tape from Dr. Maude. Todd got jealous seeing Téa with Andrew. Téa reminded Todd of their contract and went on a date with Andrew. Melinda started losing her grip on reality thanks to Dorian's tampering with her medication. Mel and Cassie learned that Miss Stonecliff was alive.
November 24 to 28, 1997
The kidnappers' car went into the river and Max's twins were presumed dead. Max accused R.J. of being behind the kidnapping. Melinda started hearing music and claimed Dorian had hurt her. R.J. learned Max's kids had been sold to a couple in Canada. Bo was upset with Nora for keeping Max's secret. Llanview celebrated Thanksgiving. Melinda disappeared.

December 1 to 5, 1997
Melinda went to see Addie. Kelly and Dorian took Melinda back to California. Mel and Cassie learned that her grandparents had not died in a plane crash. Max asked Luna for help. R.J. became a suspect in the twins' kidnapping. Jacara considered R.J.'s partnership offer. Téa approached R.J. about becoming his attorney. Todd planned a surprise for Téa.
December 8 to 12, 1997
Todd unsuccessfully planned a romantic dinner for Téa. Bo closed in on R.J. through phone records. Kelly confronted Dorian about tampering with Melinda's medication. Blair was told about the Cramer family history. Dorian and Mel planned a trip to Italy. Starr fell and hit her head. Téa told Todd that she'd had enough; she was leaving.
December 15 to 19, 1997
Téa was about to walk out on Todd, but was convinced to stay. Dorian and Mel took a trip to Rome. Viki tried to tell Joey that Dorothy was interested in him, but he didn't believe it. Georgie went to the PBA dance with Bo after she caused Nora to sprain her ankle. Blair agreed to talk to Addie about the past. Todd and Téa took a trip to the Bayberry Inn.
December 22 to 26, 1997
Ian and Kelly went whale-watching. Téa tried to get closer to Todd at the inn. Todd backed away and told her she was free of their deal. Téa was about to leave when Blair made her change her mind. Max, Dorian, Mel, and Antonio all returned to Llanview. Addie underwent hypnosis and recalled something about her mother's "teacher."
December 29, 1997 to January 2, 1998
Dorian finally began to reveal some of her past. Antonio returned for a visit. Jacara planned to be become partners with R.J. again. Nora rode with Bo on his motorcycle and loved it. Joey decided to fight for Kelly. Ian offered to buy the Sun. Todd refused. Max and Blair began to hatch a plot to get the Sun for Ian -- and Ian for Blair. Andrew and Téa had an argument.
