General Hospital viewers will be privy to not one but two cameo appearances in the weeks ahead: Both ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith and FABLife host/editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Style Joe Zee will be visiting Port Charles.
First up is Smith, who will be appearing on Friday, April 1, as an IT expert and mob henchman hired by Sonny (Maurice Benard). "I had an absolute blast on GH," the sports expert says of his soap opera stint. "The cast members could not have been more warm and welcoming. I was amazed not only by their talent, but their commitment and hard work. As a fan of the show for 40 years, it was just a thrill. I still have goose bumps."
Second comes Zee, who we previously reported will be dropping by the ABC soap as a fashion editor for Crimson. As fans may recall, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) made a surprise appearance on FABLife to welcome Zee to Port Charles. His appearance will take place on Monday, April 4. "When Finola Hughes surprised me on FABLife with the news that I would be making a cameo appearance on General Hospital, I couldn't believe it. As someone who has been a huge fan of the soap since I was 11 years old, it was more than a dream come true," Zee told Soap Opera Digest. "I remember racing home from grade school to watch GH religiously with my grandmother, and we invited the residents of Port Charles into our home every day. The fact that I will be on it now is my ultimate bucket list moment."
Earlier this month, Michelle Stafford (Nina Clay) and Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) made guest-appearances on FABLife, making Zee's upcoming cameo a bit of a unique crossover.
