It's only been a few weeks since Anthony Geary last appeared as General Hospital's Luke Spencer, but if you're missing him already, you're in luck. The actor is working hard to land on the big screen, and it just may happen with your help.
Before leaving Port Charles, Geary filmed a part in a short movie titled The Obituary, which follows the story of a poor writer who dreams of penning the next great American novel but is forced to take a job writing obituaries instead. Geary plays the lead role of Drummond Edward Easter, who shows up to a man's home to get a statement for an obituary he's working on but ends up being confronted with a life-or-death situation of his own.
Written by Norman Leonard and directed/executive produced by Jonathan Thompson, the independent drama also stars Johnny Cannizaro, famous for his role in Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys.
The film has been completed, but producers are looking for financial support in order to get it in front of audiences, take it to festivals, and get enough buzz so it can perhaps be turned into a feature-length project. Fans who participate in the donation process are privy to rewards that range in value from photos autographed by Geary to lunch with the cast and director.
