YOUR CHANCE TO WIN:
If you'd like a chance to win a copy of The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli that has been autographed by both Carolyn Hennesy and Bradford Anderson, follow Soap Central on Twitter at @soapcentral and tweet us to tell us when Bradford made his first appearance on General Hospital. We'll pick one lucky winner to receive a copy of the book. |
Over the past few weeks, General Hospital viewers have watched as Spinelli and Diane have worked together on a book. When the book is released in Port Charles later this year, fans will also be able to get their hands on a copy. That's right, the fictional novel is going to be turned into a novel for the real world.
ABC Daytime has partnered with Hyperion to publish a novel based on Damian Spinelli. The book will coincide with General Hospital's 48th anniversary.
Titled The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli, this book is the story of lovable computer geek, Damian Spinelli, and his exploits as a private detective as told to high-powered attorney, Diane Miller. Filled with mystery and suspense, the pages were found on Ms. Miller's stolen computer disc and include never-before-told stories of Port Charles residents -- their confessions and behaviors in times of crisis and triumph through Spinelli's imagination.
Though the fictional version of the book was said to have been written by Diane Miller, in reality, it was written by GH actress Carolyn Hennesy. In addition to being an Emmy-nominated actress, Hennesy is also an accomplished author who has penned the popular Pandora children's series of books.
The book will be available in both hardcover and ebook formats. A special enhanced ebook version is also slated for release with clips from General Hospital and other bonus material.
The book will be released on April 5, 2011. The book will retail for $22.99 in bookstores, but it can be pre-ordered through Amazon.com at a significant discount.
