"Baby King is due toward the end of September/first part of October," a spokesperson for King said in a statement. "[A]s you can imagine, both Ted and Maya are beyond thrilled!"
Ted and Maya were married in 2008.
King has appeared as two different characters on General Hospital. For four months in 2002, King appeared as Luis Ramon Alcazar. The following year, King returned as Luis's twin brother, Lorenzo. King's second stint lasted much longer than the first. Lorenzo appeared on GH from June 2003 until May 2007. Both characters have something other than their genetic makeup in common -- they were both murdered... or at least that's how it appeared.
Last summer, rumors surfaced that General Hospital might be looking to bring Lorenzo back into the fold. Though the initial whispers didn't result in the actor appearing on-screen, there is always the possibility that the actor could return down the road.
