Save the date: The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, June 16. While the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has yet to officially announce the venue, the telecast will once again be broadcast on HLN (formerly Headline News) network.
"Last year, HLN's first-ever presentation of the Daytime Emmy Awards was the #1 most-watched, regularly-scheduled non-news broadcast in the network's history, and received terrific viewer feedback both on-air and online," Malachy Wienges, Chairman, National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in a statement.
"Our audiences thanked us for tapping into that vital part of American pop culture," added Scot Safon, Executive Vice President & General Manager, HLN. "HLN is the news channel that focuses on stories at the forefront of the American conversation, and daytime programming often tackles those same themes and stories. We are so happy to again present the program that honors the best work in daytime."
The Emmy telecast will air Sunday, June 16, from 8:00 to 10:00pm Eastern (5:00 to 7:00pm Pacific).
