Fans of Days of our Lives will have to get used to not seeing Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) for the foreseeable future. Both actors will be disappearing for a short time after their characters make the big decision to leave Salem for the good of their daughter, Mickey, who is diagnosed with cancer.
Soap Opera Digest was the first to report the news of the pair's exit, which at this point doesn't have an end date. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out when Eric and Sarah will return to their friends and loved ones in Salem and whether or not their decision to leave town helps little Mackenzie through her health troubles.
Godfrey joined Days of our Lives in 2018 after leaving the role of Caroline Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful, a role she played from 2012 to 2018.
Vaughan joined DAYS in the role of Eric back in 2012. He previously played Lucky Spencer on General Hospital from 2003 to 2009 and Diego Guittierez on The Young and the Restless from 2002 to 2003.
A previously reported, DAYS recently went on an extended hiatus and released all of the show's actors from their contracts. Shortly after doing so, it was announced that the NBC soap opera has been renewed through 2021.
