We've all seen our fair share of drama during the weekday hours of noon and 4pm, but things got a little too real for six Days of our Lives stars as they hurtled through the skies aboard an airplane... and smoke started to fill the cabin.
But first, in true soap fashion, let's flash back to how it all began.
DAYS stars Kassie DePaiva (Eve), Martha Madison (Belle), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Marci Miller (Abigail), Christopher Sean (Paul), and Jordi Vilasuso (Dario) traveled to Jekyll Island, Georgia, for a fan event called "Behind the Mask." Billed as an event to get a kickoff to the Halloween season, fans were given the chance to play croquet, have high tea, and even attend a masquerade ball with the stars.
The six stars made their way from Los Angeles to Georgia and, as you can see from the following photos, silliness ensued from the very beginning.

The event itself went off without a hitch, and by all accounts, a fun time was had by everyone who attended.

The lovely and talented croquetmaster Eric "The Mallet" Martsolf even shared some photos from the lawn.
When there's a masquerade on the soaps, it's a safe bet that something crazy, dangerous, or otherwise jaw-dropping will happen. In the real world, you just get a beautiful photo of beautiful people.

The event wrapped up, and the DAYS gang started their journey back to the make-believe world of Salem.
But things were about to take a dramatic turn. Martha Madison shared video of what appeared to be smoke entering the cabin.
"I'm sure it's nothing," an off-camera Martsolf remarks before realizing that it is, in fact, smoke.
Things got even dicier when the pilot revealed that they were unable to communicate with air traffic control.
Thankfully, the plane landed safely in Atlanta, and life got back to normal. In fact, Christopher Sean even took a little time to stroke himself, er... to stroke a larger-than-life piece of art of his face.
Leave it to soap stars to find a way to make even their off-screen shenanigans dramatic.
