Acting for The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our Lives must have been exciting, but Kyle Lowder (ex-Rick Forrester, ex-Brady Black, respectively) says his latest job as "CraveRider" in the new Dr Pepper advertisements actually tops his soap shenanigans.
The actor, who's featured in the soda pop ads as a super-fit, Jet Ski-riding Dr Pepper deliveryman, says he feels incredibly lucky to have landed the job.
"It's by far and away the most fun I have had in front of the camera in my career, and also the most physical [I've been], as well," he says. "It's also an item on my bucket list crossed off. I shot it at Pinewood Studios in London, where they did Star Wars, Harry Potter, James Bond. The whole experience was amazing."
Lowder, who was chosen out of 300 actors who auditioned for the part, made his debut in the global launch of the advertisements this week.
"He brought a certain vulnerability to what was a very physically demanding role," says Ryan Lehr, creative director at Deutsch, which developed the campaign. "Plus, Kyle's an extremely charming and handsome guy. If someone had to ride into your living room and soak your carpet with Dr Pepper, you'd want it to be him."
