Daytime fans have recently been rallying around Days of our Lives' Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), who is fighting back against "Internet trolls" who used her likeness to promote a diet pill she has nothing to do with. And the former The Biggest Loser host thanks her supporters on today's episode of The Dr. Oz show.
"Luckily, I have lots of loyal fans that have been supporting me on social media since back when I was on Days of our Lives, and when I guess Twitter was first developed, and they know me really well, so people started tweeting me, 'Hey, are you supporting this?' or 'Did you say something about The Biggest Loser?'" she recalls of finding out about the scam that has left her "appalled" and having to do damage control. "I didn't know what they were talking about... but then finally a fan sent me the link -- it almost makes me hot under the collar talking about it."
