The dance world seems to have its hooks in The Bold and the Beautiful these days. Hot on the heels of the news that Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) has signed on to the Italian version of Dancing With the Stars comes news that the CBS soap has cast Dance Moms alum Nia Sioux for a new role.
The dancer/actress took to social media with the news, writing: "I'm on set of the world's most watched daytime drama #BoldandBeautiful!"
Sioux's post also revealed that she will be playing a Forrester intern named Emma and will make her appearance on Tuesday, April 24.
Dance Moms premiered in 2011 and follows the early training and careers of children in dance and show business as well as their doting mothers that rival each other in their daughters' interests. After starring on the reality series for seven seasons, Sioux made the decision to leave and look for new opportunities.
"It's crazy to see how far it's come and how much I've been through," she told Teen Vogue. "I was just like, I'm sixteen now, I'm growing up, the show has been a great platform, but it's time to move on. During the show, I couldn't take all the opportunities that I wanted to, and now since I'm off the show, I'm getting to do what I want to do."
At this time, it's unclear whether or not B&B's "Emma the intern" will have dancing skills that outshine her stapling skills. Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out!
