Because The Bold and the Beautiful is internationally successful, it only makes sense that the CBS soap would send some of its biggest stars to other markets where the show is popular -- and that's exactly what the beloved soap opera is doing.
The show announced today that Heather Tom (Katie Logan), Karla Mosley (Maya Avant), and Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) are heading to South Africa on a publicity tour from October 21 to October 26. The trio is scheduled to hit Johannesburg and Cape Town, with stops at the iconic South African landmarks of Table Mountain and Soweto, as well as appearances at the Mall of Africa and Maponya Mall in Johannesburg.
"I'm so thankful that after thirty years, our South African viewers and our broadcaster, SABC3, remain an integral part of our extended television family," said B&B Executive Producer/Head Writer Bradley Bell in a statement. "To celebrate this occasion, we're sending Karla, Heather and Jacob in person to convey our warm greetings and gratitude to our fans."
News that B&B was headed to South Africa first surfaced at the Daytime Emmys earlier this year. At the time, it was said that the African nation would be the show's latest international location shoot. It is unclear if those plans have been scrapped, if the show will film scenes during this publicity event, or if there might be another visit in the future.
