It isn't just Heather Tom's (Katie Logan) alter ego that's pregnant -- the Emmy-winning actress has announced that she is expecting in real-life.

"Heather just told me I could announce that she is expecting her first child!" The announcement was made by Tom's webmaster on the actress' official Facebook page.

Days later, Tom released an official statement confirming the news.

"James and I are very excited," the Emmy winning actress exclaimed. "I'm due in October so there is a lot of planning going on right now. Also, we just found out that I'm having a boy!"

Tom and her husband, James Anchor, were married on September 17, 2011. The pair had been together for 15 years before walking down the aisle. This will be their first child.

Tom is a three-time Daytime Emmy winner. In 1993 and 1999, Tom won the Outstanding Younger Actress crown for her work as Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless. Last year, Tom picked up an Outstanding Supporting Actress win for her B&B performance. Tom is nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress category this year. If she wins, she will become the first performer to win Emmys in all three acting categories.
