Jon Lindstrom (ex-Craig Montgomery) swoops in and saves the day -- or at least saves the play -- by accepting a last-minute recast in the Tony-nominated theatrical drama, Time Stands Still, set to debut on Cape May's stage this month.
Apparently time really doesn't stand still as the play title indicates, and a shoulder injury to Broadway star Osborn Focht caused an eleventh-hour dash to fill the actor's shoes in the comical drama about relationships. Jon Linstrom stepped up to the plate and will play James, the boyfriend of photojournalist Sarah Goodwin, who tries to settle into everyday life after an accident prohibits her from continuing her riveting career.
After its preview on September 12, the play will run from September 13 through October 13 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse in downtown Cape May, New Jersey.
Jon Lindstrom's soap opera career spans back to 1985 when he played Santa Barbara's Mark McCormick. He next played Generations' Paul Jarre in 1989. In the 1990s, he portrayed Ryan Chamberlain and Kevin Collins on General Hospital. Kevin moved to GH's half-hour spinoff, Port Charles, where his career continued to 2003. In 2008, Lindstrom accepted the part of ATWT's Craig Montgomery, which he played until the show's end in 2010.
