All My Children alum Leven Rambin (ex-Lily Montgomery) is adding another major title to her ever-growing résumé. She has signed on to star in the upcoming untitled Purge 5, which is being directed by Everado Gout.
Deadline reports that Universal is set to release the next and final chapter of the high-grossing film franchise on Friday, July 10. The premise of the film is being kept under lock and key, but series creator James DeMonaco says, "I think it's a great way to end it all. We want to end it all, I think, in this one, and I'm very excited. When I came up with the idea and pitched it to everybody, they seemed psyched, and I think it will be a really cool ending, how we take this one home."
The Purge series kicked off with its first film in 2013, a home-invasion thriller starring Ethan Hawke. It went on to gross $89.3 million worldwide and led to the start of a franchise that has, to date, pulled in $456.8 million in worldwide grosses. The series transitioned to television in 2018 with a ten-episode event series of the same name on USA. The network quickly ordered a second season of The Purge, which finished airing in December.
Rambin got her start playing AMC's autistic character Lily from 2004 to 2008. She later went on to appear in Gone, The Path, True Detectives, The Dirt, Lost Child, Hunger Games, Two Night Stand, and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
Purge 5 is the latest high-profile project for the actress. She recently completed The Big Ugly and is currently filming the David Fincher movie Mank.
