The cast for the second season of Celebrity Big Brother has been announced, and daytime fans will likely recognize one of the stars who has signed on: Jonathan Bennett, who played All My Children's J.R. Chandler for a short time in the early 2000s.
The actor, who's widely known for his appearance in the teen film Mean Girls, has joined a long list of celebrities for the reality series, including Tamar Braxton, Tom Green, Ryan Lochte, Joey Lawrence, and Lindsay's Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan.
Hosted by former The Talk co-host Julie Chen, Celebrity Big Brother follows a group of stars living under one roof. Each week, houseguests will be voted out of the house, and the last one left will win $250,000.
"I can't believe I'm packing for the Celebrity Big Brother house!" Bennett posted to Instagram. "If you see this picture that means I am officially locked away going on the next adventure in my life and becoming a house guest for season two of Celebrity Big Brother on CBS. Catch me Jan 21st and see how it all goes down."
All My Children's J.R. was one of Jonathan Bennett's first roles, which he played from 2001 to 2002. In addition to appearing in major films like Mean Girls, he has many television credits to his name, including Veronica Mars, Smallville, Boston Public, Awkward, and Food Network's Cake Wars.
