There are plenty of soap opera fans who've dreamed of joining a daytime drama, but only one has turned his life-long goal into a web series that stars former All My Children actresses Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Annie; Chelsea Lawson, The Young and the Restless), Chrishell Stause (ex-Amanda Dillon; Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives) and Stephanie Gatschet (ex-Madison North; ex-Tammy Layne-Winslow, Guiding Light).
Misguided, the new web series by Vermont native Paul Gosselin, follows the character of Paul on his journey to becoming (or at least trying to become) a soap star. From experiencing the devastating news that his number one soap, Guiding Light, had been cancelled, to seeking out Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, AMC), Misguided portrays the highs and lows of Paul's relationship with the soap genre. And the dedicated creator managed to convince Gatschet, Stause and Egan to take part and appear as hilarious versions of themselves.
"Paul is an old friend of mine and I'm so excited for him and his new web series," says Egan. "He's super driven and creative, and Chrishell and I had fun shooting a cameo for him in Misguided. We basically play a snooty, ridiculous version of ourselves. We had a lot of laughs shooting this. Very fun!"

The series debuted this week with the episode Best Friend, which shows Paul arriving in Los Angeles and finding out that his friend, Stephanie, needs a roommate. He's slightly let down, however, when he realizes that his soap opera connection has really "gone to the dogs."
