There are industry rumblings that All My Children star Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey) is mulling an exit from the show.
When ABC lured fan-favorite Eakes away from CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful in 2003, it was seen as a coup for the network. For months, CBS had -- whether intentional or unintentional -- poached top name stars from ABC soaps and placed them in its own daytime lineup. But now, Eakes, who has enjoyed front burner status pretty much from her first day with All My Children, is said to be unhappy with her character's direction and storyline.
In a recent interview, Bradley Bell, the head writer and executive producer of The Bold and the Beautiful, mentioned that he toyed with the idea of bringing Eakes' former character back to the show's canvas. When asked if the show would recast the role because of Eakes' unavailability, Bill mused that he would simply have to "steal" Eakes back from All My Children.
Even if Eakes wants to return to B&B, there might be some logistical problems to get over. When Eakes ended her 11-year run as Macy Alexander Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2000 to pursue other opportunities, her character was "killed off" in a car accident. A few years later when Eakes decided to return to the show, Macy was revealed to be very much alive. But when Eakes landed her role on All My Children, her B&B character was again - you guessed it - killed off.
